The summer school will be open for doctoral students, interested master students and early postdocs are also welcome.
Doctoral students will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research.
The summer school will also provide a forum for doctoral students to engage and collaborate with peers and other academics at an international level.
The focus of the summer school programme will be on multi-disciplinary theoretical and methodological approaches relating to families on the move and families in transition, within the contexts of:
• Lifecourse perspectives on families and migration
• Transnational families and (un)belonging across the life course / across generations
• Intergenerational family relations
• Intergenerational solidarity and care
• Intergenerational transmission of culture
• Family reorganisation and reconfiguration
• Fluidity and diversity within family life
• Parental/gender role changes within the family
• Families and digitalization
• New family forms – modernisation and re-traditionalisation
